U-Pick Fruits

Here at Tug Hill Estate, we grow raspberries (red and black), blueberries, grapes and apples. Below is a chart outlining our picking schedule and pricing for the year. Fruit ripeness and volume are largely dependent on the weather, however, so the picking schedule may be slightly off from year to year.

We update picking conditions daily, usually around 9 am, with a 1-5 scale (1 being not so great, to 5 being super great). We will also try to remember to indicate if weather has impacted conditions at any point. If fruit is pretty well finished or not ready, we will mark it with a 0.

Raspberries- 3 (7/17/26- RED Raspberries are still available! Black raspberries are available in limited quantities in the last couple of rows.) The last few rows are getting very weedy, but it’s time to focus our efforts on the blueberries. Please be sure that what you are picking are actually raspberries. We are not growing any other kinds of berries in this area, so be sure to watch children carefully. We do not spray our raspberries with insecticide or fungicide.

Blueberries- 3 (7/17/26- More and more berries are ready for picking! If you’re picking for a large volume, we recommend waiting until the week of 7/20, but if you want a quart or two, it’s a good time to pick.)

Apples- 0

Grapes- 0

How does U-Pick work at Tug Hill Estate?

If you ever experience an issue while picking, please make your way to the Vintner’s Lounge and tell an employee. Please remember to keep children from getting too close to the vineyard dogs as they are NOT PETS! Also, use caution when bringing small dogs into the U-pick areas. Our dogs have mistaken small dogs for pests in the past, and we absolutely do not want anyone’s pet (or child) getting hurt. Thank you.

Just a quick note to say that as much as we may want to, we do not control the weather, and have very little control over nature in our rural space.
